# The City of Cape Town says it continues to support the investigation involving a former contractor, Triple C Maintenance and Services. During a staged operation in March, the suspect allegedly handed the City Manager 1.4-million-rand in cash. The payment was purportedly offered as a bribe in exchange for assistance in retaining the vendor’s contracts with the metro. The metro’s spokesperson, Luthando Tyhalibongo, says the police’s Commercial Crimes Unit conducted further search and seizure operations related to the investigation yesterday:
