# The Electoral Commission has welcomed the premiere of Beats for My Peeps on SABC 1, a ten-episode electoral education television programme. The programme forms part of the IEC’s broader voter education and democracy participation campaign ahead of the local government elections in November. The show features content creators from across the country, sharing their experiences and teaching new voters what to expect during election season. The IEC says it is important to educate voters about their rights.
