# Rise Mzansi’s Makashule Gana has been elected chairperson of Parliament’s impeachment committee after receiving 19 votes to 12. The committee held its first sitting to elect leadership, with the ANC and DA supporting Gana’s nomination. The EFF nominated United Africans Transformation’s Wonderboy Mahlatsi.
