JPC clarifies CEO remuneration following inaccurate media reports [SOUND]

# The City of Johannesburg Property Company says it is concerned about the recent factually inaccurate media reports relating to the remuneration of CEO Musah Makhunga. The JPC says the CEO’s salary is nowhere near the 5.5-million-rand reported in the media, adding that the figure is what is budgeted for employee salaries in the office of the CEO. JPC spokesperson, Lucky Sindane, says executive remuneration within the organisation is determined through approved remuneration frameworks, governance prescripts, and applicable salary scales:
