# Tshwane mayor Nasiphi Moya has pledged tougher action against illegal immigration, criminal syndicates, and urban decay. In recent days, protesters have taken to the streets in Pretoria and Johannesburg over undocumented foreign nationals. With the local government elections just six months away, Moya is once again ActionSA’s mayoral candidate for the metro. She has been the mayor of Tshwane since October 2024. Moya says her administration will continue to intensify law enforcement operations targeting hijacked buildings, illicit trade, and infrastructure vandalism.
