# Eastern Cape Transport and Community Safety MEC, Xolile Nqatha, has condemned the killing of Chris Hani District Municipality mayoral committee member for Corporate Services, Thumeka Bikwana. The 46-year-old councillor was murdered at her home in KwaTshatshu on Tuesday. The department’s spokesperson, Makhaya Komisa, says the motive for the murder is unknown, and no suspects have been identified at this stage:
