WCED prioritises safety as it monitors weather conditions [SOUND]

# Western Cape Education Department says it’s closely monitoring weather conditions following the closure of schools in parts of the Eden and Central Karoo districts due to severe rainfall warnings. Schools are expected to reopen on Friday, although this will depend on further weather assessments later in the week. Education MEC David Maynier states learner and teacher safety remains the top priority as conditions continue to be assessed:
