# The City of Tshwane says the Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant has been temporarily shutdown. This follows recent thunderstorms and rain, which have significantly affected the raw water supply. The metro’s spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo, says high turbidity levels have exceeded the plant’s treatment capacity, making it difficult to process water to the required standard. He says customers are also reminded of the scheduled 24-hour shutdown today, to allow for the installation of both a raw water bulk meter and a clear water bulk meter.
