Operation Shanela continues to be effective in fighting crime in Gauteng [SOUND]

# Gauteng police’s crime-fighting efforts continue to yield positive results through Operation Shanela aimed at reducing crime while maximizing police visibility and stamping the authority of the State. Police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says the operation was conducted over the weekend  across all five districts in the province, that is Johannesburg, Tshwane, Ekurhuleni, West Rand and Sedibeng. She says it resulted in the arrests of one-thousand-31 suspects for various crimes, including wanted suspects:
