# The Johannesburg Development Agency has launched its 2026 student chapter orientation programme aimed at exposing built environment students to real urban development projects. University of the Witwatersrand’s students visited key sites, including the Sandton and Gandhi Square bus rapid transit projects, the Linbro Park landfill rehabilitation site, and the Chancellor House restoration. The agency’s Kenneth Nxumalo says the programme helps students link their studies to real work in building and improving the city.
