# The Tshwane Metro Police Department’s Taxi Unit impounded 16 minibus taxis during an operation in Pretoria Central this week. The vehicles were impounded for various offences related to non-compliance with the National Land Transport Act. TMPD’s spokesperson, Puleng Motholo, says in a separate operation, the Overload Control Unit in Akasia and Centurion inspected 31 trucks for load compliance:
