# The DA says it is concerning that the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa has not suspended its 7.5-billion-rand General Overhaul programme to refurbish old and obsolete trains. This is despite the entity itself admitting that the programme is no longer fit for purpose and must be reviewed. The DA’s Thami Mabhena says they are demanding that Prasa immediately halt all further spending on the General Overhaul contracts, pending an investigation by the Public Protector:
