TUT students launch EduConnect to tackle the dropout crisis

# Students at Tshwane University of Technology’s Faculty of Information and Communication Technology have developed EduConnect. This is a pioneering peer-to-peer tutoring prototype designed to make academic support more accessible and affordable for university students across South Africa. An estimated 50 to 60-percent of first-year students drop out of universities across the country due to academic difficulties. TUT says EduConnect promotes affordable learning and peer empowerment.
