# The Western Cape Department of Infrastructure says the upgrade of a 4.7-kilometre stretch of Baden Powell Drive near Stellenbosch, to a dual carriageway between the N2 and Annandale Road at Lynedoch, has been completed. The project created 264 short-term work opportunities. MEC Tertuis Simmers says 117-million-rand was spent on procuring goods and services from targeted enterprises, and 4.8-million-rand was spent on procurement from local enterprises:
