# The Azanian People’s Organisation has reiterated its support for the National Health Insurance, saying it is the most potent tool to end the unjust and unequal healthcare system in South Africa. Since president Cyril Ramaphosa signed the NHI Act into law last year in May, eight different groups have challenged it in court.
