# The City of Tshwane says it has identified an anomaly while configuring the billing system for the implementation of the new cleansing tariff. The tariff applies to properties not using the metro’s waste collection services. Mayoral committee member for Finance, Eugene Modise, says that during the configuration, they realised the system led to some residents in estates/complexes, who already receive municipal waste collection, being incorrectly charged. He says they are attending to these cases and will correct all affected accounts.
