# The Africa Unite Borders Bus Trucks Association is calling on president Cyril Ramaphosa to sign a proclamation to investigate perpetrators of crime syndicates in the country. He says they support KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi’s revelations:
# Eskom has confirmed that Unit 6 at the Kusile power station in Mpumalanga has officially entered commercial operation, marking the successful completion of Eskom’s build programme. Spokesperson Daphne Mokwena says this milestone is a key component of the generation recovery plan and ends the construction of South Africa’s two supercritical coal-fired power stations, Kusile, and Medupi in Limpopo. She says with Unit 6 now online, Kusile and Medupi can deliver a combined nine-thousand-600-megawatts when operating at full capacity:
# Rugby: Lock Lood de Jager will join the Springboks in London after Franco Mostert remained behind in South Africa due to a family bereavement. The Boks are gearing up for their closing Rugby Championship encounter against the Pumas at Twickenham on Saturday. De Jager suffered a niggle against the All Blacks in Wellington, but has made a full recovery and is available for selection. South Africa currently holds a one-point lead at the top of the standings over the second-placed All Blacks.
