# China’s former minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Tang Renjian, was sentenced to death with reprieve, for bribery, at a court in Jilin province. This is according to state-run news agency Xinhua. In September last year, Tang was removed as minister and in November expelled from the Chinese Communist Party. In April this year, Tang was indicted on suspicion of accepting bribes and tried.
