# Kyiv came under heavy drone and missile bombardment early this morning, in what independent monitors said was one of the biggest Russian attacks on the Ukrainian capital and surrounding region since the full-scale war began. The head of Kyiv’s military administration, Tymur Tkachenko, said at least three people were killed and about ten were injured in the city. One of the dead has been identified as a 12-year-old girl. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said the attack underlined the need for more punitive sanctions against Russia to force it to stop its aggression.
