Cape Town’s Potsdam wastewater plant upgrade reaches 60% completion mark [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town says the Potsdam Wastewater Treatment Works in Milnerton has reached 60-percent completion. Currently one of the Western Cape’s largest infrastructure projects at a cost of 5.2-billion-rand, construction began in April 2023 and is expected to be completed in late 2027. Mayoral committee member for Water and Sanitation, Zahid Badroodien, says once complete, the upgrade will double Potsdam’s treatment capacity from 47 million litres to 100 million litres of wastewater per day:
