# The City of Ekurhuleni has deployed the Metro Police to monitor the Municipal Employees and Civil Servants Union strike action at the OR Tambo Government Precinct and Civic Centre today. The metro’s spokesperson, Zweli Dlamini, says the Labour Court has already granted an interim interdict, which expressly prohibits any obstruction of municipal operations and access to essential public services. He says any further action in contravention of this order will amount to contempt of court:
