# The EFF has introduced the Electoral Amendment Bill as a private member’s bill to Parliament, saying it’s time to end the systematic exclusion of millions of citizens from the democratic process. The private member’s bill seeks to amend the Electoral Act of 1998 to provide for the automatic registration of all South African citizens on the national voters’ roll upon reaching the age of 16. The EFF’s Thembi Msane says more than 13.5-million eligible citizens remain excluded from the voters’ roll:
