Western Cape Infrastructure MEC has reopened the vital access road to Citrusdal [SOUND]

# Western Cape MEC of Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers, says the reopening of the Main Road 310, which connects Citrusdal to the N7 highway, is a major milestone. The road was severely damaged by floods in June 2023 and July 2024, when the Olifants River burst its banks, washing away large sections. Simmers says the cost of reconstruction work in the 2023/2024 financial year was 12.2-million-rand, and an estimated 26-million-rand was spent on this project in the 2024/2025 financial year:
