# Rustenburg police re-arrested a 23-year-old rape suspect days after he escaped lawful custody. Initially arrested in Umzimkhulu, KwaZulu-Natal, on 1 September for raping a 28-year-old woman, the suspect fled detention. SAPS Amanda van Wyk says a multidisciplinary team, supported by the Rustenburg Community Police Forum, traced him to an address in Rustenburg and apprehended him early Saturday.
