# Western Cape premier Alan Winde and Public Works minister Dean Macpherson have convened a multi-sphere government meeting in Cape Town to address the Knoflokskraal land occupation in Theewaterskloof Municipality. The land, first occupied illegally in 2020, now hosts around four-thousand structures. A task team will be appointed to oversee a social facilitation process starting next month, aiming for a lasting solution while increasing security to prevent further invasions.
