# ActionSA in Gauteng will be laying criminal charges against the provincial government, Emfuleni Municipality and contractors today, over the abandoned Boipatong Old Age Home. While 28.35-million-rand has already been spent on the project, the site remains incomplete and idle, with construction long abandoned. The project, which was originally initiated by the municipality in 2015, has suffered from contractor failure, administrative incompetence, and community unrest. ActionSA says the failure of this project is yet another reminder of the continued collapse of governance under the ANC-led Emfuleni municipality.
