# The City of Tshwane is urging residents to participate in the Clean-up Campaign as the fight against illegal dumping is ongoing. Due to insufficient budget, most local municipalities are facing serious challenges with waste collection services, and as a result, some of the residents and businesses dump waste in open spaces, resulting in illegal dumps. Mayoral committee member for Environmental and Agriculture, Obakeng Ramabodu, says the Clean-up Campaign is about restoring order and beauty to spaces:
