# The Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s portfolio committee on Community Safety is set to join the community of Eldorado Park and various civil society organisations at the Protea Magistrate’s Court today. This is for the formal bail application of two parents facing charges related to the abuse, rape and murder of their four-year-old child. Last week, the State added three more charges against the father, who now faces five charges, including murder, rape and assault. The committee is calling for harsh sentences to be imposed should the accused be found guilty.
