Saftu calls for stricter enforcement of immigration laws against employers [SOUND]

# The South African Federation of Trade Unions says the hiring of undocumented workers is not an act of compassion; it is a ruthless capitalist tactic to maximise profits by exploiting the most vulnerable. Employing undocumented migrants is a criminal offence and a breach of the Immigration Act. Saftu’s spokesperson, Asive Dyani, says they are calling for strict enforcement of immigration laws against employers who hire undocumented workers for exploitation in the country:
