# Gauteng MEC for Transport, Kedibone Diale-Tlabela, has condemned the attack on two e-hailing cars outside Maponya Mall in Soweto, describing the incident as barbaric. One person died while several others sustained injuries yesterday evening, after four assailants approached an e-hailing vehicle parked outside the mall’s entrance and opened fire, killing the driver. The MEC’s spokesperson, Lesiba Mpya, says the incident is allegedly linked to tensions between taxi operators and e-hailing drivers:
