# The General Industries Workers Union of South Africa has strongly condemned the ongoing xenophobic campaign led by Operation Dudula, March and March, ActionSA, and the Patriotic Alliance denying migrants access to healthcare. GIWUSA president, Mametlwe Sebei says it is true that the clinics and hospitals are failing residents and there are also shortages of critical healthcare professionals. Sebei says however, the underlying cause of both the crisis in healthcare and the rightwing backlash scapegoating migrants for the crisis, is the fracturing and weakening of organisations of the working class.
