# US vice president JD Vance is expected to meet with UK Foreign secretary David Lammy today before heading off on a family vacation. Vance and Lammy, who come from opposite ends of the political spectrum, will hold talks at Lammy’s official country residence, Chevening. The meeting comes as the United Kingdom tries to come to favourable terms for steel and aluminum exports to the US as part of a broader trade deal. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the war in Gaza are also likely on the agenda.
