# The High Court in Madadeni, KwaZulu-Natal, has sentenced four people to life imprisonment for the 2019 drive-by shooting of Alfred Duma Municipality executive director, Oscar Hlatshwayo. The Political Killings Task Team arrested the four – a senior engineer, a businessman, an arms coordinator, and the shooter – in the same year. National police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe, says national commissioner Fannie Masemola has welcomed the ruling, calling it a step towards justice and closure:
