# The Public Servants Association says it is extremely concerned about hazardous working conditions at the Gauteng Department of Education Registry in Ekurhuleni. During a recent inspection by the Department of Employment and Labour and the PSA, it was found that the Registry environment was severely overcrowded, dirty, and unsafe, with uncontrolled piles of files. The PSA says it welcomes the department’s decision to issue a prohibition notice and close the facility. It adds that the safety and well-being of employees are not negotiable.
