# The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department has seized illicit drugs worth an estimated street value of 279-thousand-500-rand in a major bust in Hillbrow. Acting on a tip-off, the JMPD’s Tactical Response Unit raided a known drug den and confiscated crack rock and nyaope. JMPD’s spokesperson, Xolani Fihla, says the intelligence-led operation yielded a considerable haul of dangerous substances, preventing them from reaching the streets and harming communities:
