Western Cape has embarked on a flood damage repairs response strategy

# The Western Cape Department of Infrastructure says it has embarked on a flood damage repairs response strategy across several district municipalities and more than ten construction projects. One of these projects is the Seven Passes Road in the Garden Route District Municipality, parts of it was washed away during major storm events and flooding in November 2021. The department says currently, the cost of flood damage repair works across the province is estimated at 53.4-million-rand, with a construction period of approximately 18-months.
