# The Tshwane District Police is appealing to taxi owners to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy with the correct documentation to operate in the metro. This comes after 18 taxis were impounded in Ga-Rankuwa and Akasia during Operation Shanela yesterday, for operating without valid transport permits. Police spokesperson, Johan van Dyk, says 184 Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences Act infringement notices amounting to 94-thousand-400-rand were issued for various traffic-related offences:
