# The DA in the Eastern Cape has welcomed the National Assembly’s adoption of the portfolio committee on Police’s report on the severe gang violence crisis in the northern areas of Nelson Mandela Bay. In May, the party presented a petition to the committee, demanding urgent intervention to stop the rampant gang violence.
