# Arrive Alive has confirmed that five people, including a toddler, died yesterday afternoon following a head-on collision on the N18 near Hartswater in the Northern Cape. Police allege a stolen bakkie with false registration plates was being chased by the police when the driver illegally over-took a vehicle, lost control, and crashed into another bakkie. The Road Traffic Management Corporation’s accident investigators have launched a probe to determine the cause. A culpable homicide investigation is underway at Hartswater Police Station.
