# The Gauteng Health Department will host the third Stroke Rehabilitation Research Conference today and tomorrow in Braamfontein. Stroke ranks among Gauteng’s top three non-communicable diseases, with over 32-thousand cases referred for physiotherapy and over 105-thousand follow-up sessions since 2019. The department’s spokesperson Motalatale Modiba says the event advocates for advanced stroke rehabilitation through innovations, integration and interventions. He emphasised that the event aims to improve stroke care through knowledge exchange:
