Themba Water Treatment Plant remains shut due to sewer contamination [SOUND]

# The City of Tshwane says the Themba Water Treatment Plant remains shut after a sewer spill contaminated the Apies River, which feeds into the Leeukraal Dam. The plant was closed last Friday as a safety measure, and operations will only resume once the water quality is safe. The city’s Lindela Mashigo says roaming water tankers have been deployed and technicians are working around the clock to restore a safe water supply:
