# The MK Party has lost its court bid to force the Electoral Commission to hand over election records it already had access to. The Electoral Court dismissed the case, saying the party was given the data but failed to download it, despite the IEC providing login details. Judge Lebogang Modiba ruled that the party’s claim of denied access was baseless and unreasonable. The MK Party, led by former president Jacob Zuma, has been challenging last year’s election results, claiming without proof that the vote was rigged.
