Think tank urges Ramaphosa to investigate NPA’s corruption case failures

# The Centre for Development and Enterprise calls on president Cyril Ramaphosa to urgently set up a judge-led inquiry into the National Prosecuting Authority. This follows growing concern over the NPA’s string of high-profile court losses. According to News24, the think tank says the inquiry should assess the NPA’s structure, leadership, and ability to prosecute major corruption cases. The centre’s director, Ann Bernstein, recommends a new independent process to appoint a successor when National Director of Public Prosecutions Shamila Batohi retires in January.
