# Over ten-thousand-427 new jobs have been created in the Business Process Outsourcing sector in Cape Town from April 2024 to March this year. In the previous financial year alone, the sector added around 3.6-billion-rand in new foreign direct investment to the local economy, and now contributes around 24-billion-rand annually to the Western Cape economy. Mayoral committee member for Economic Growth, James Vos, says this is a clear sign that the metro’s strategy for economic growth is delivering tangible results:
