WCED admits to facing challenges with its expansion plans

# The Western Cape Education Department has admitted to facing some challenges with its school expansion plans. This is despite rising demand for schools due to migration from other provinces. The department has highlighted budget cuts, population growth, and infrastructure constraints as key hurdles. The province has about one-thousand-500 public schools, with a need for more in both urban and rural areas. WCED is working with municipalities to unlock land for new school developments and maintain service delivery.
