# The Public Servants Association has commended Parliament’s standing committee on Public Accounts for placing the State Information Technology Agency under strict oversight. This is after the Auditor-General exposed SITA’s failure to address irregular expenditure of more than two-billon-rand, and continued reckless spending with inadequate controls and accountability. PSA’s, Claude Naiker, says they have continuously called for accountability and consequence management at SITA:
