SAFTU welcomes withdrawal of politically contaminated SETA board appointments [SOUND]

# Union federation Saftu has welcomed the decision by the minister of Higher Education and Training, Nobuhle Nkabane, to withdraw the appointments of board chairpersons at the Sector Education and Training Authorities. The original appointees included minister Gwede Mantashe’s son, Buyambo Mantashe; former KwaZulu-Natal premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube; and ANC Johannesburg deputy regional secretary Loyiso Masuku. Saftu’s spokesperson, Newton Masuku, says the new boards were supposed to take over at the start of last month already:
