Twelve minors rescued from illegal initiation schools in Gauteng

# Twelve minors from Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, have been rescued from illegal initiation schools located between Klipgat and Mabopane north of Pretoria. The operation involved police and local authorities responding to reports of unlawful initiation practices. The rescued children, some of whom were as young as 13, were found in distressing conditions. The parents of the minors revealed to News24, that the children were abducted and transported to an illegal initiation school in Mabopane using a minibus taxi. Police say the incident highlights ongoing concerns about unauthorised initiation schools operating without proper oversight.
