# The City of Tshwane and the Tshwane Tourism Association have signed a new memorandum of understanding to boost local tourism and jobs. Highlighting its reputation as South Africa’s safest metro, mayoral committee member for Economic Development, Sarah Mabotsa, says the city aims to grow its meetings, incentives, conferences, and events sector. She also emphasised that increased tourism could create over 80-thousand jobs by 2029:
