Tshwane police’s crime prevention operations resulted in the arrest of over 200 suspects [SOUND]

# Tshwane police continued with their disruptive crime prevention operations by conducting Operation Shanela in the precincts of Atteridgeville and Erasmia at the weekend. This resulted in the arrest of 290 suspects for various offenses including murder, rape, armed robbery, and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Police spokesperson, Johan van Dyk, says 24 identified premises and crime hotspots were searched and patrolled, leading to one arrest for drug possession and the confiscation of two sachets of crystal meth:
